White Willow is an herb which has been used for thousands of years not only used to treat arthritis but also fever, pain and inflammation. What many people don’t know is that Aspirin – a widely used painkiller – is derived from the said herb. It is a good remedy for arthritis because of its ability to relieve both pain and inflammation. White Willow is usually taken in capsule form and its recommended dosage is 225 mg. If you will be drinking White Willow tea, you can take it for 3 to 4 times each day.

Honey is also a good natural treatment for arthritis. This is just one of the many health benefits of honey. It is able to reduce joint swelling because of its anti inflammatory properties that are able to penetrate the skin and this makes it even more effective. To use it for this purpose, mix 1 part honey with 2 parts warm water. Add a teaspoon of cinnamon powder to it and mix it well. Massage the paste directly to the affected joints for a minute or two. This can be done at least once a day in order to feel swelling relief.
